I Would Paint My Reverie

In case you hadn’t noticed I’m changing things around here again. I was looking at www.csszengarden.com earlier today (or yesterday to be exact) and I realized how much I’d let myself slip. There are a million beautiful designs out there just waiting to be created and I’ve been sitting her on a plain static blah site. Well, it’s still pretty plain and blah but at least it’s a work in progress now.

Over the next few weeks I’m hoping to enhance the aesthetics here. The changes I’ve made so far are pretty minor but just in case anyone is wondering here’s what I did:

  • Got rid of the funky picture of yours truly. It didn’t match the new decor.
  • Added a new moon phase image. It seemed logical.
  • Removed some annoying background colors because it seemed too busy.
  • Took off the “Recent Posts” links and the “Search” section. I don’t think they were very useful and they just took up a ton of space.
  • Broke the navigation. It looks all right in Mozilla but IE breaks the bloody thing to pieces no matter what I try. DAMN MICROSOFT!!!!

If you’re having problems with the site please shoot me an email and I’ll do my best to accomodate. If you’re have problems because you use MS IE consider switching to browser not made by an evil corporation who wouldn’t understand the term “standards” if Mr. Webster dropped by to define it. Oh, and if you miss any of the sections I removed let me know and I’ll see about putting them back up somewhere.

Looking marvelous so far! I give the progression two thumbs up. Looks like you were working late on this one.

Unfortunately at work I have to use IE, so the site is all screwy. As soon as we make the switch to OS X, I can use Safari and surf your site hassle-free.
