Oh Mama I Still Don’t Believe It’s True
Princess KIA lost a tooth. After much wailing and protest “It NEEDS to stay IN my MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUTH!” I convinced her that it was time for the tooth to take the long journey to baby tooth heaven. Actually, I didn’t convince her at all. I gave her two choices. I could pull the tooth or she could go to her dad’s this weekend where he would assuredly yank it himself. She was on the fence and not liking her options at all so I told her that she had until after dinner to decide.
Her first bite of spaghetti had her sobbing in tears begging me to pull the tooth. Apparently her aim isn’t too great and she jabbed her gums at the base of the loose tooth with her fork. It still took some coercing, allowing her plenty of time to “think and prepare” (her words not mine) and a fake-out phone call to her father to get her to open her mouth but I was pleased that she calmed down once I had my fingers in her mouth. No more trips to the ER this week.
Looking at the time I realize I have an email to send before I clip on my wings and go off on a tooth raid. Gotta fly.
